Who we are

Rivet Bay is a web design and SEO/AEO agency based in Weymouth, Massachusetts, serving businesses nationwide. This policy explains what information we collect through rivetbay.com and how we use it.

Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to share with us:

  • Contact / project inquiries. Your name, email address, current website (optional), and the details of your message.
  • Discovery-call bookings. Your name, email, phone number, time zone, website, and the topic you want to discuss, used to schedule the call.
  • Job applications. Your name, email, phone (optional), a portfolio or LinkedIn link (optional), your resume file, and any cover note.
  • Technical data. Standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) used for spam prevention, rate limiting, aggregate analytics, and error diagnostics.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your inquiry and provide the services you request.
  • Schedule and confirm discovery calls.
  • Evaluate job applications.
  • Protect the site from spam and abuse, and keep it running reliably.
  • Understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party marketing.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted third parties to operate the site. Each processes only the data needed for its function, under its own privacy terms:

  • Resend — delivers form submissions to us by email.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — verifies that form submissions come from a person, not a bot.
  • TidyCal — powers discovery-call scheduling and stores your booking details.
  • Sentry — captures application errors (no session replay) so we can fix problems.
  • Vercel — hosts the site and provides privacy-friendly, aggregate Analytics and Speed Insights.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our service providers (notably Cloudflare Turnstile and Vercel) may set limited cookies or use similar technologies that are necessary for security, anti-spam, and aggregate performance measurement.

Data retention

We keep inquiry, booking, and application information for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver our services, and meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You may ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
