A typical website redesign treats the symptom. The real constraints are structural, and three of them come up in nearly every conversation we have.
Design, engineering, and search have to work as one system. A beautiful site nobody finds, or a fast site nobody trusts, produces the same quiet inbox.
A copywriter, a designer, a developer, and an SEO consultant, each on their own timeline, and you become the project manager. We keep it all under one roof.
Search rankings and AI citations compound like interest. Every quarter on an aging platform is ground a competitor claims first.

From the clients behind the launches above.
The quality of our work lives in the details, and I needed our first website to carry that through. Rivet Bay built a site as beautiful as the spaces we design, and clients feel it before we ever speak.

Strategic thinking. Refined design.
Meticulous development.

Slow websites lose visitors and ground in both Google rankings and AI answers. Enter your domain and we will run a live Lighthouse audit through Google PageSpeed Insights, right here on the page.
For reference: typical WordPress builds load in three to five seconds. The scores on the right are from this site, which is statically compiled and served from the edge. That is the benchmark we build every client to.
No vague retainers, no rolling timelines. Four steps from first call to a custom website that earns its keep.
A focused call on your goals, audience, and current search benchmarks.
Every page, integration, a flat price, and a firm launch date, in writing.
Watch the build take shape on a private staging server, week by week.
We index your pages and register the structured data AI engines cite.

Every Rivet Bay project is quoted as a flat rate after a short scoping call, based on your business goals, technical requirements, and features. Because everything is designed and built custom, with no templates, there is no one-size price list. We are not the cheapest option, and not the most expensive. Pricing reflects the strategic positioning, custom engineering, and design quality required to build a digital asset that compounds in value over time.
A custom marketing platform typically takes 4 to 6 weeks to design, develop, and content-map. Larger projects can require 8 to 12 weeks. The usual bottleneck in web projects is copywriting and asset gathering, not development. Because we handle strategic copywriting in-house, projects launch predictably and on schedule.
A template or WordPress site serves a simple brochure adequately, but it introduces compounding liabilities for a growing business: plugins account for the vast majority of WordPress vulnerabilities, and third-party code slows pages down. A custom-built site costs more up front and pays it back in speed, security, and search performance. We build custom architectures on Next.js with no plugin dependencies, sub-second load times, and far less to maintain.
SEO is a compounding asset, not an overnight switch. Meaningful ranking growth typically takes 4 to 6 months of active indexing. We structure campaigns in 90-day phases: first resolving code and speed, then launching targeted high-intent pages, then accelerating editorial content. Be wary of anyone promising instant page-one placement.
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), also called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), is the practice of structuring a website's content, data, and schemas so AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude cite your business as an authoritative source in their answers. A growing share of qualified search now happens inside conversational AI rather than on a traditional results page. We optimize for classic search and AI answers at the same time.
AI engines reward sites that are easy to extract from and trustworthy to cite: open crawling access for AI crawlers such as GPTBot and PerplexityBot, structured factual data, direct-answer writing, and third-party authority references. We configure all four so your platform is the most reliable source an AI engine can find on your topic.
Yes, completely. Some agencies bury IP-retention clauses in their contracts, effectively holding the design and codebase hostage. When your project is complete and paid for, 100% of the design, code, copy, and domain configuration transfers to your company in writing.
